Nylon 6,6（,Polyamide 66） specifically, is obtained from hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid via polycondensation and was the first commercially available all synthetic fiber. It has valuable properties- abrasion resistance, wear resistance, hardness, resistance to chemicals and fuels - which make it suitable to a variety of applications.
