
Qlock connectors
Qlock connectors are high-performance, metal-to-metal sealing clamps designed to replace traditional flanges by offering up to 75% lighter weight and 50% smaller, more compact designs. Ideal for critical, high-pressure, and severe service environments (up to 60,000 psi and -200 ℃ to 800℃), they feature a self-energized, re-usable seal ring, 4-bolt clamp assembly, and 360-degree rotation for fast, reliable, and leak-free performance.
Design and working principle
Qlock clamp connector is a reliable and small 4-bolt fitting that was created as a high-performance substitute for flanges. For use in piping systems needing high integrity seals in applications involving corrosive, erosive, high temperature, high pressure, and cyclic environments, the Qlock clamp connection is a dependable, simple-to-assemble, metal-to-metal sealed connector.
It is designed to work with compressors,pumps, manifolds,valves,pressure vessel, nozzles,and closures.
The clamp joint is constructed using two clamps,two hubs, one seal ring,four studs,and eight nuts.
The hub sealing surface is interfaced with a reusable,zero leakage seal ring to provide high integrity and a strong seal. In order to provide a self-energized seal during Operation, the joint configuration makes sure that the seal ring is elastically loaded during assembly.
To fit any application, SUNKAIER will custom create and optimize unique QLock products.

How Qlock works

The Qlock sealing technical principle relies on a metal-to-metal, self-energized, and pressure-energized, seal ring (usually with two lips and a central rib) sandwiched between two hubs. As the clamp tightens, the seal ring lips deflect inward against the inner hub surface, creating a high-integrity, compact, and lightweight connection that increases sealing force as pressure rises, often outperforming traditional flanges in extreme conditions.
