Metering pump

The MP metering somps are a diverse range of diaphragm and plunger pumps used for highly accurate liquid metering and blending in industrial applications. They are known for their modular design, which allows for extensive customization to meet specific flow rate and pressure requirements.

Design and working principle

GMP metering pumps operate on a reciprocating positive displacement principle, using a motor-driven gear mechanism to convert rotary motion into precise linear plunger movement. This motion drives diaphragm or plunger pumpheads, delivering accurate flow rates up to 1,000 bar by adjusting a z-shaped crankshaft to control stroke length, even while operating.

Technical data

Technology: The series includes both leak-free diaphragm pumps (for toxic or pure liquids) and plunger pumps (for lower investment cost applications).
Performance: They offer a wide range of performance parameters, with flow rates from 0.1 l/h to over 40,000 l/h on a single head, and operating pressures up to 1,000 bar (approx. 14,500 psi).
Modularity: Nearly all gear sizes can be combined in horizontal or vertical configurations to create simplex (single) or multiplex (multiple) pump systems, with each pump head capable of independent flow rate adjustment.
Accuracy: They exceed the requirements of API 675 standards for accuracy, linearity, and reproducibility, with a metering accuracy as good as ±0.5%.
Control: Flow rate adjustment options include manual, electric, pneumatic, or variable speed drives, often utilizing a unique Z-shaped crankshaft mechanism.
